Carcotex's robust designs make them ideal for heavy-duty applications such as cylinders for steel mills, presses (plunger cylinders), offshore applications, swinging bridges, to name a few. Their vee packing is made of rolled fabric reinforced rubber, which is a great combination of flexibility and robustness. Carcotex packing is available in solid and split designs.  | CARCOTEX/UN Carcotex/UN is suitable for more normal duty applications. It has been engineered for both rod and piston seals for cylinders in forging and extrusion presses. The male or top ring has 'buttons' that act like springs to optimize the preload. It also enables the oil pressure to distribute on both sides of the seal. CARCOTEX/UN packing comes in solid or split designs. Available in rod diameters up to 2 meters and in a variety of different cross sections. |
 | CARCOTEX/SP/SPLIT This configuration is designed for hydraulic presses in good mechanical condition. CARCOTEX/SP/SPLIT can include between 2 to 4 center vee rings. Available for ram diameters up to 3 meters and in different cross sections, both metric and imperial. |

The male adaptor automatically responds to fluid pressure levels and conforms to worn surfaces or misaligned rams. Carcotex/SP/SG/SPLIT can include 1 or 2 center vee rings. Available for rams up to 3 meters in diameter and comes in various cross-sectional dimensions, both metric and imperial. |

With Carcotex/PR/SPLIT packing, one of the center vee rings is made of rubber, which enhances the sealing performance on highly worn rams. Carcotex/PR/SPLIT can include 2 to 4 center vee rings. Available for ram diameters up to 3 meters and comes in various cross sections, both metric and imperial. |
