Back-Up Rings Hi-Tech Seals’ back-up rings are manufactured from standard and high-performance elastomers and thermoplastics compounds. Our KasPex™ PEEK MP39 is commonly used in high pressure and high temperature applications, other materials include nitrile, PTFE, and fluorocarbon/Viton™. Our back-up ring profiles offering includes solid flat, solid contoured, scarf cut, spiral cut, and butt cut. Close tolerance rings are available upon request. |

T-Seals The T-seal design consists of a T-shaped elastomer component supported by a back-up ring on both sides. The combination of these elements results in a stable seal that ensures a positive sealing lip configuration. Coil Tubing Stripper Elements The functions for coil tubing stripper elements are both safety and operational. Stripper elements, also referred to as packers, are designed to seal between the coil tubing and the outside world. This prevents well fluids from escaping into the air in general use and emergency situations. Urethane is often used as the material of choice for these elements as it can operate in tough environments and can resist aggressive chemicals. |
