V seals are an excellent alternative used on rotating shafts to exclude dirt, liquids, oil, sand, and other foreign materials from entering bearing housings, while also preventing grease from escaping. Additionally, they maintain excellent sealing action when the shaft is eccentric or there is some misalignment.

V seals are designed to be stretched over the shaft so that their body rotates with the shaft and holds in position by its elastic fit. A seal is created by the contact between the lip and the housing or bearing. As speed increases, friction decreases due to centrifugal action.
