Our History
- Hi-Tech Seals, Inc. was founded and officially opened in a 1,950 sq. ft. building in Edmonton, Alberta.
- Branch opens in Calgary, Alberta.
- The Edmonton branch was registered to ISO 9002-1994.
- The Calgary branch moved to a larger facility and was registered to ISO 9002-1994.
- The Edmonton head office started constructing a new building with over 11,000 sq. ft area and acquired a CNC lathe for manufacturing seals.
- The Scarborough, Ontario branch moved to a new office/warehouse in Newmarket, Ontario.
- Hi-Tech Seals Boucherville, Quebec branch opened.
- The Edmonton and Calgary locations were registered to ISO 9001.
- Hi-Tech Seals secured the license to distribute Viton®.
- The Newmarket branch was registered to ISO 9001.
- The Boucherville branch was registered to ISO 9001, bringing all Hi-Tech locations into line with ISO accreditation.
- Hi-Tech Seals acquired a Hi-Speed Packaging Machine.
- Hi-Tech Seals acquired a Micro-Vu Machine for measuring parts within 0.0001.
- The Edmonton location began its warehouse and office expansion.
- Hi-Tech Seals Edmonton completed the construction of its new warehouse and office buildings.
- Hi-Tech Seals started providing custom Ink Jet Labeling services.
- Hi-Tech Seals production capabilities expanded with the addition of the HAAS SL-30 and TL-1.
- Hi-Tech Seals added another TL-1 machine and S20-HYD-MECH band saw to increase production capabilities.
- The Hi-Tech Seals website was launched.
- Hi-Tech Seals released revision 2 of its Engineering CD to customers.
- The Engineering Dept. introduced Failure Analysis.
- Hi-Tech Seals added an optical flat machine to its testing facilities.
- Hi-Tech Seals celebrated its 20th Anniversary in October.
- Hi-Tech Seals purchased a King 12 x 26 Lathe to add to its production capabilities.
- The Packaging Department added a PS 100 OneStep Bagging machine to increase packaging capacity.
- The Drafting Department expanded and upgraded computers and software including Autocad® 2011.
- Hi-Tech Seals acquired Genseal Products, Inc. and Lunel, Inc. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, paving the way for the Winnipeg, MB branch opening.
- The Winnipeg branch purchased a new HAAS ST-10 CNC machine to increase production capacity.
- The Edmonton branch added a HAAS Super Mini Mill 2 for increased production capacity.
- Hi-Tech Seals opened its first United States branch in Conroe, Texas.
- Hi-Tech Seals Urethane Division purchased an Objet 3D Printer.
- Hi-Tech Seals started distributing Precision Polymer Engineering products.
- Hi-Tech Seals started distributing Hernon® High Performance Adhesives products.
- Gasketmaster & Supply Inc. assets were purchased from receivership by Hi-Tech Seals Inc. and Hi-Tech Gaskets Inc. was founded.
- Hi-Tech Seals Winnipeg Urethane division expanded to a 3,000 sq. ft. second warehouse.
- Hi-Tech Seals Winnipeg Urethane division installed a second curing oven to increase production and reduce lead times.
- Hi-Tech Seals Winnipeg added a HAAS VF4 milling machine.
- Hi-Tech Gaskets acquired a Gerber Technology LaserQC®.
- Hi-Tech Seals Winnipeg, Conroe, and Hi-Tech Gaskets, Inc. were registered to ISO 9001.
- Hi-Tech Gaskets Inc. purchased an ATOM Flash Cutter.
- Hi-Tech Seals Winnipeg hosted its first open house.
- Hi-Tech Seals Conroe hosted its first open house.
- Hi-Tech Seals introduced Ethics Reporting.
- Hi-Tech Seals Calgary celebrated its 20th Anniversary.
- Hi-Tech Seals launched the Seal Analysis Lab, a new in-house engineering lab. The lab houses new lab equipment, including a Micro Vu Excel, Mid-Infrared FT-LR Spectrometer, Thermo Scientific Convection Oven, Tensile Tester, and Surface Roughness Tester.
- Hi-Tech Seals Winnipeg expanded its warehouse and procured a 3rd oven to cast and cure urethane parts.
- Hi-Tech Gaskets merged with Hi-tech Seals, becoming Hi-Tech Seals' Gasket Division.
- Hi-Tech Seals celebrated its 25th year in October.
- Hi-Tech Seals Gasket Division acquired a second flash cutter.
- Hi-Tech Seals acquired Best Choice Oil and Gas Tools, Inc.
- Hi-Tech Seals opened a new Manufacturing Centre in Edmonton, AB.
- Hi-Tech Seals was registered to the newest ISO Quality Management System, ISO 9001:2015.
- Hi-Tech Seals expanded its Rapid Seal machining operations to Newmarket, AB, and Calgary, AB.
- Hi-Tech Seals exhibited at variety of trade shows.
- Conroe, TX branch relocated to a larger facility.
- Boucherville, QC relocated to a larger facility in Ste. Julie, QC.
- Hi-Tech Seals introduced its high-performance materials: KasPex™ PEEK, BoKure™ urethane, and RyFlor™.
- Hi-Tech Seals opened a second US branch in Broussard, Louisiana.
- Rapid Seal machining was moved from the Edmonton head office to the Manufacturing Centre.
- Hi-Tech Seals celebrated its 30th anniversary on October 1st.
- Hi-Tech Seals announced the promotion of Dustin Jackson as President.
- Hi-Tech Seals formed a strategic partnership with Carco Group of companies.
- Hi-Tech Seals invested in a new technologically advanced splice and vulcanizing equipment.
